Attune is built with care — but care isn't the same as clinical expertise. This page is here so you know exactly what Attune is, what it isn't, and where to go when you need something it can't give you.
Attune is not a therapist.
Attune consists of an AI relationship companion. Grace, the conversational AI at the core of the app, is not a licensed therapist, psychologist, counsellor, or any kind of mental health professional.
Nothing Attune says — in any conversation, at any time — constitutes clinical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is a thinking space, not a clinical one.
It is not a substitute for professional help.
Attune is designed to complement professional support, not replace it. If you are experiencing significant mental health difficulties, trauma, or are in an unsafe situation, please seek help from a qualified professional.
Attune works alongside therapy — it is not an alternative to it.
If you are in crisis.
Attune is not equipped to handle mental health crises, emergencies, or situations involving risk to your safety or someone else's.
If you or someone you know is in crisis, please reach out to a mental health helpline immediately. findahelpline.com connects you to crisis lines in your country, available 24/7.
Grace is built to recognise signs of distress and will prompt you toward emergency support when needed — but please don't rely on it as your first line of response in a crisis.
You are talking to an AI.
Grace is powered by artificial intelligence. She is not a human. She does not have clinical training, or the judgment that comes with it.
She can be a thoughtful presence — but she is not a person, and her responses should be understood in that context.
No guarantees on outcomes.
Attune may help you understand your patterns, communicate more clearly, and feel less alone in what you're going through. Many people find that genuinely useful.
But we can't promise specific outcomes for your relationship, your emotional state, or your situation. What happens in your life is shaped by far more than any app.
Your data.
During beta, we collect your name and email. Beyond that, what you share in conversations with Grace — your relationship struggles, patterns, feelings — is sensitive, and we treat it that way. Conversations are private by design — no social features, no sharing, no audience.
If you have questions about your data, reach out at hello@heyattune.app.
This may change.
Attune is in active development. Features, how Grace responds, and these terms may evolve. When something material changes, we'll let you know.
Continued use of Attune after updates means you accept the revised terms.
